Abdul Kalam declared the games closed, the
flame in the giant bowl opposite the VIP
stand dimmed and diminished. Instantly the
night sky lit up in the brightness of the
Pyrotechnics display. Streaks of lights
shot upwards from all sides of the huge

The Arab World was recovering
this week from the marriage of The President
of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Zayed
Nayan wanted the Best for his eldest son
Mohammed, Fireworks crackled overhead. One
of two million rockets explode into all
the colours of the rainbow and simultaneously
reproduced the singing of a nightingale
which could be heard throughout the city.

| I LOVE BOMBAY SHOW - 1990 |
|
Prime Minister of India
was dazed to witness fireworks display at
"I Love Bombay" - 1990. Bombay's
famed Queen's Necklace came ablaze with
lights and dazzling fireworks as heavens
burst into jewel bedecked from the fishing
boats at Marine Drive. The scene then shifted
to a spectacular display of fireworks in
the sea. Somebody had forgotten to switch
off the microphones and in the background
you could hear a voice insisting : "Yes,
yes Indian Fireworks, they are all Indian,
very much Indian, all of them are Indian."

Calcutta Reliance Cup at
Eden Garden 1987
The sky erupts in a flurry of Fireworks
during the closing ceremony of the Reliance
Cup, 1400 shells fired by the highly professional
pyrotechnics display from the Pagoda Garden
on the west side of the Stadium. 85,000
people witnessed the show.

The Gardens was lit by the glitter of the
fireworks that were set off from the vicinity
of Burmese Pagoda behind the stadium, The
Fireworks Display had the crowd rooted to
their seats and satisfied that such things
were not meant only for the lucky ones at
